Simplified user management - The BES Admin tool now integrates user credential and database privileges to simplify user creation and management for
BES Console operators.
Integrated management rights for BES Web Reports - The BES Web Reports can now have a user's view restricted to a specific group of computers
(which can be tied to a specific BES Console operator's management rights) to allow web reports users to see only computers important to them.
BES Server no longer requires IIS - Due to popular demand, the BES Server will no longer requires Microsoft IIS. The BES Server can be installed with the
"BigFix Root Server", which is built on BES Relay technology or, alternately, IIS can still be used.
Simplified installation - BES evaluation and production installation versions are now easier to install. The installation is faster and requires
fewer clicks.
Improved Performance - The BES Console performance was improved to allow greater usability and scalability.
Improved BES Client Inspectors - The BES Client can now look at more properties of the computer allowing for expanded retrieved properties and allowing
for even greater Fixlet capabilities.
Updated Look and Feel - The BES Web Reports graphics and HTML have been updated to the new look and feel of the BigFix web site. A capability
was also added to customize the look and feel of the BES Web Reports.
