BigFix 7.1 Changes

BigFix 7.1 is designed to add minor features, add small enhancements, and add fixes for issues in all components.


    Notable Changes


  • "Message Level Encryption" added so that BigFix Agents can encrypt data to server (without need to use complicated setup)
  • Enhanced native power management capabilities of the BigFix Agent including ability to natively forward Wake-on-LAN packets and serve as "last man standing" in a subnet
  • Added support for FIPS-140 Level 2 security requirements
  • Added "Export to PDF" button in Web Reports for convenience
  • Added a new mode to the BigFix ClientUI so that it will not launch in Citrix/Terminal Services sessions (by popular request)
  • Changed the symmetric cipher used to protect private keys to use AES for better security (previously 3DES)
  • Over 150 customer requested changes in the BigFix agents, consoles, server, web reports, admin tool, client deploy tool, remove tool, and more.
