Unmanaged Assets

BES has the ability to import information from scanning products (such as the Nessus Scanner) into the BES database so it can be viewed by the BES Console.

Use the instructions below to import sample scanner data to use an example of how this works:

1. Download the BES Unmanaged Asset sample import data:
   BES 5.1-6.0, BES 7.0.
2. Extract the file to a folder on the BES Server.
3. Run the file importscannersample.bat.
4. Open the BES Console and you will see an "Unmanaged Assets" tab that will contain the sample data about the scanned computers.
5. Double-click on each computer to see more information.
