Summary:
How do I use SQL Server instead of MSDE for the BigFix Server?
Solution:
To install the BigFix Server with SQL Server 200x instead of MSDE, install SQL Server 200x on the computer before you install the BigFix Server, then run the BigFix Server installer. The BES Server installer will detect that SQL Server is installed and it will automatically configure SQL Server 200x to work with the BigFix Server.
Note: You will need to configure your SQL Server 200x installation to use SQL Server Authentication/NT Authentication in order for the BigFix Server installation to work (this option is not set in the SQL Server 200x default installation configuration).
